Toile de Normandie

How Much Wallpaper Do I Need?

Although it varies by number of doors and windows and pattern match, it takes, on AVERAGE, 10 rolls to paper the walls in an 8 x 10 room with 8 ft. high ceilings. The same room with 10 ft. high ceilings would need 12 rolls. To paper the walls of an average 10 x 14 room with 8 ft. ceilings you will need, in general, a minimum of 14 rolls. If you have 10 ft. ceilings and a 16 x 20 room, you will likely need a minimum of 26 rolls. You should use an on-line wallpaper calculator to determine your exact needs. There are several available, including one at http://diy.easy2.com/. I always like to add a roll or two so I have extra just in case I cut a piece incorrectly or for things like lining drawers or shelves, or even papering a closet to match the room.

Color representation on computer monitors can vary considerably. Unless you use a Mac that is color calibrated exactly the same as ours, the colors you see may not even be close to the actual colors. PCs distort color and most are inaccurate enough for it to matter. We cannot tell you which picture is closest to the actual color of an item because the answer may be different on your screen. The best way to tell what the color looks like is to use the OAC. If we did not think color accuracy was important we would not spend hours matching colors to the swatches in the chart. It is tedious and time consuming but is the best way we have found to help you accurately determine colors. For your convenience, we sell the chart in our store at our cost.
